oddly enough this thread came up. I emailed AEV today about a JK brute and they said it is not planned yet.

I have a friend who is talking about trying to build one without buying the kit from AEV. They look awesome, but I already have a truck!

anybody know the difficulty/time to do a buildup, or how much you'd have to pay a shop to complete the project? I sold my motorcycle and am thinking this could end up being my new toy/project in a year or two.

Keep checking the aev forum, and ebay. Make sure your pockets are dEEP.

edit: check ebay item 250327788184, not as expensive as the ones I've seen before, but I'd want it lifted and painted a different colour.

edit 2: 250317336874 is direct from AEV and they are asking $54,000

that's exactly why I'd rather go the kit route. I'm still curious what somebody would charge to assemble one (the right way). I did see AEV says 60 hours to complete.
