best place to run wires to battery
What's up everyone! I have a 2005 unlimited TJ and recently added the Body Armor rack and cage for the top. The rack comes with 4 light tabs on the front and two in the back. When I installed the rack I did not have the funds at the time to get lights as well (wife would have shot me) but pre wired the front for eventual install. Now the lights are on there way and I was wondering if anyone would know the best way to bring the wires in to the engine compartment? I snaked the wiring down to the passenger side and tied it off for now. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

The least obvious way is down and out the back at the pivot point, if it has one. The problem is length of wire, the longer the run the bigger the wire you going to want to use.
I dont know how much power you need at the back of the Jeep, but I suggest running some big wire to some place at the back of the jeep. Then you can use that point to connect smaller wire to all the accessories, like lights.
I used 6G (4G would be better) jumper cables, stripped the ends off. Ran the cable down the frame to the back (make sure you use a fuse on it 60-80amp should work). Then used 2 of these (they come in red and black) mounted on a plate...

From these you can run all the lights and accessories you want without running a single wire from the battery for each.
