yeah I understand that.. my wife will get a small crossover SUV when we have kids so that isnt that big of a deal..... The only person putting a kid in a car seat in the jeep would be me...

 

I have 2 kids, 5 and 2, and an '01. It's totally doable. With the extra space in the back of the Unlimited, even better. That being said, at some point I foresee a JK because when the kids get bigger, I may need more space.
Tough call, but don't let having kids dissuade you.
