I just replaced my front two on my 2002, they are a bolt in unit. kinda a pain in the ass to do but not hard. the best price i found is from Rockauto.com its a timken unit too so thats good. also once one bearing goes the other shouldnt be too far behind.
In case i confused you, your bearing are a one pice bolt in unit, theres no repairing or repacking.

wheels
Dealer wants around $300 for them, Advance auto has them around $130
I've replaced 3 so far on 3 jeeps... 2 on my own lol, seems they dont hold up long against mud and dirt...

its an easy job wheel off, brake off, bearings off, u will need a 12 point socket to get the bolts out from the back... else its all good

When i did front bearings on the TJ i had, i just replaced the whole hub, i think it was like fifty bucks from murrays auto parts... its was suprisingly cheap.... Pull the wheel off, pull the caliper, the rotor, the hub nut that goes onto the spindle, and then three bolts hold in the hub. Take out the bolts, get a chisel, and slowly tap the chisel between the hub and the knuckle till is slides out. Certainly a home mechanic can handle it, good luck
