Question Looking to buy a TJ

Hello all, more of a lurker here in the forum, especially the TJ board since I have a JK.

Was hoping to get some feedback on a TJ that I am looking at. It is a 98 Sport, 5 speed, 112K miles, 32" BFG's, Cragar rims, full doors, soft top etc. Asking price is $7700.

Any thoughts on where you would price this out if you were selling it, I know hard to do without seeing / driving it, just do not want to waste my time or the seller’s time digging at price without some knowledge going in?

Also since I know very little about TJ models, is there anything in particular I should pay attention to when looking it over?

Thanks for the help.

Just based on what you've said here, KBB only puts it at $4500-$5800 for private party sale, NADA (Most banks use this for vehicle values) says about $8000 but that is for retail not private party. I say if it is in absolute perfect condition go $6500, KBB has a tendency to be somewhat low while NADA is the exact opposite.

x2. When I was selling my 03 Rubicon, KBB had the value at $7900 while NADA had it at $12,900.

I use Edmunds...it seems to split KBB and NADA fairly. Edmunds had my Rubi at $11,900 which is exactly what I sold it for.
