Need help 89 Wrangler
I've had this jeep for about a yr and had no problems until recently. 89 wrangler, V6, manual trans...clutch master cylinder had a slow leak and I replaced it myself. One month later, the slave cylinder goes out and had a transmission shop drop the trans and replace slave assembly. I have had it back for a day and now the speedometer and temperature gauge do not work. I'm not real worried about the speedo cable but the temp gauge is priority number one. I first took apart the instrument panel and examined the circuit...looks good (minu s the clock but it has been burned out for as long as I have had it). I just ordered the temp sender/switch and will install it this weekend. Does it seem ironic that while at the shop both the speedo and temp gauge went bad? If the temp sender does not fix the prob, are there any fuses or fusable links I can look for because I do not have anything with an electrical diagram?
Just sent you a PM with a link. I did not want to run afoul of the non-sponsor link posting rules.
I had an 89YJ for over 15 years. Yours will have a 258 straight 6. If it's a manual it will be an AX15. The back axle is a flanged, (non c-clip), Dana35. I know you don't want to hear this. But, when I sold mine a full set of service manuals went with it. So, I just had to hunt down this info
BTW I still have a rebuilt T-18 w/ 6.31:1 granny and a 258 bell housing. Now if I could just match this up to my JK 3.8.......
