We are attempting to install a 3" budget lift on my son's 05 TJ. The front went on without a hitch, but we cannot get the rear track bar to line back up to get the torx bolt back in. Is there a trick or has the axle shifted, and how do I get it back aligned?

 

OK.. we got the track bar back on by taking it loose from the frame and attaching it to the axle first.. don't ask me why? but it worked. Now we have the dreaded death wobble at 40-50 mph We have ordered a new adjustable track bar for the front hopefully that will fix the problem. Anyone else had this problem with a 3" budget lift?

 

I have a 91 yj and ran into the same problem with my jeep. I ended up making a bracket that extended the mount out further. They sell bolt on kits for the tj. You shouldnt have to fab anything up.
