Seeking Advice on Upgrading My Jeep Wrangler!
Hello Everybody,
I am hoping to upgrade my Jeep Wrangler and I could truly utilize some advice. I've been thinking about adding a lift kit but I am unsure which one would be most suitable for off roading without compromising on road comfort.
In addition, I am thinking about upgrading the tires for better off road traction but I am not sure which brand or size would work best for my Wrangler.
Ultimately, I am thinking about adding some aftermarket accessories like a winch or off road lights. Are there any specific brands or models that you recommend ?
I also read this: https://topliftpros.com/blogs/news/the-different-ways-to-flutter-upgrade-your-jeep-wrangler but couldn't find the information I wanted to know.
I'd see the value in any bits of knowledge or encounters you can share to assist me with settling on the most ideal choices for my Jeep. I appreciate your assistance in advance.
Thanks,
Mitchel

Mitchel, more info will get more valid data.. what year, model Wrangler? What type of Off Roading are you planning? How much on pavement driving? What mod's..Lift, Tires Wheels Gearing Trans? IMO - good 3 peak rated All Terrain tires would be my choice for NY.
On vacation for the week so keeping things brief, but a few comments -
Tires - definitely focus on opinions from that northeast area since tires vary widely in how they handle wintery conditions. My opinions from texas aren't worth a rip for you.
On-road comfort with a lift - mainly going to be all about the shocks you choose and adjusting caster after the lift. Most of us use gas-charged shocks that are a bit stiff. Adjusting caster with control arm brackets or adjustable control arms will be a key to good steering and driveability after the jeep is lifted. if you're increasing tire size you need to be thinking about ball joints as well.
lift brands - definitely take a look at Metalcloak. you won't see them at retailers really but they are a great company that produces quality product for competitive prices IMO. if you get interested in them at all sign up for their mailing list. they run 10% and free shipping sales but those alerts are shot out via the mailing list.
lighting - you get what you pay for. you can go cheap and they normally work fine, but the quality of light is not as good as the name brands.
