$60 in supplies from Home Depot and Harbor freight, hour and a half to put together.....works just as fine....I also am looking for a place to store the freedom panels because I dont always take the whole top off....

I took the easy way out. I spent $290 on the lange crank hoist from Autoplicity and got the forum discount. 2 hour install and it hangs over the hood of the jeep. Perfect!!!

I also did the Lange from HoistLifts.com and have been very pleased. My one issue is that the wire rope supplied kind of flattens-out and some of the wires are fraying though he core is still good.

I got the hand crank version; it was worth buying the kid for 2-3 x the Lowe's or Home Depot route just to save time and have a clean installation.
