Default Tires

Hey guys.i have a new 2013 jeep wrangler sport and it came with 17"rims and basic stock tires. I wanna go with some nice all-terrain. How big of a tire can I put on these rims without needing a lift?

The rims won't matter

Stock rubicon tires are 32" so anything under that you will be fine
Anything bigger than 32's you will need 1 1\2in spacers or new rims with 4.5in backspacing
Anything bigger and a 33" you will need a lift or flat fenders

I ran 285/70/17s without a spacer on stock wheels without rubbing. You will be fine unless you go larger.

Running 285/75/17s on stock rims without wheel spacers (thank God), and a smallish 2 inch suspension increase

I'm running 37x13.50r17 toyo mud terrains on the stock suspension. I only rub when off roading.

You can easily run 35's with no lift or spacers. Just need to do a little trimming.
