I swapped out my 4' Firestick for a 2'. I have it on a quick disconnect, but it doesn't need to be. I have it mounted on a spare tire mount, and the 4' was a PITA to remove every time I went to work and parked in the garage htere. Now I don't have to remove it.....ever......and the reception is just fine on the trail and on the highway
