Default 2011 CB mounting locations

So before they dragged away my totalled 08 JKU, I took off the CB mount that went on the center console down by the shifter. Well, since I have the new redesigned interior, that mount wont work. Has anyone seen a similar mount for the 2011-12 JKs?

Not sure on the 11s. But on my 07, I mounted my cb right above the mirror onto the stock plastic trim piece. It holds the cb very well. No worrys of it falling off. Up and out of the way.

I'm either going to put mine under the steering column, or more likely inside the arm rest.

I couldn't find a place to mount mine so I made this mount that puts it above the mirror and remote mounted the mic so I wouldn't have a cord in my view. You can buy something similar for around $55 plus shipping, but I like mine better it sets the radio back further so its in easy view. The cost to fab this is about $20 and a couple hours of time.

I tried almost every combo and position to mount my Cobra until I found a Tuffy Overhead locking console used on this site. It has been a wonderful answer and worked out perfectly in my 2011 JKU Rubi.
Since then I also purchased the CCW box for under the seat as well.

Great customer service at Tuffy and good products.

Thumbs up Cb bar on ebay.

I had this cb bar in my TJ. I traded the TJ in on the JK. I kept the bar and it needed redrilled some cutting to make it fit on the Jk. About an inch wider on the JK roll bar. I like the mount, it is up and out of the way. You can always add to the bar down the road. The wiring flows nicely thru the roll bar padding. I am a bigger guy and making the cockpit smaller isn't on my agenda. The bar is about 50-60 bucks. You can even weld one yourself and save money if you have a welder. I can throw the mic chord over the top of the cb and it is out of the way. Looks like Rhino's bar above.
I didn't want to clutter my overhead "sky view" with a console or pay the money for one. This works good 4 years now no problems or sticky fingers.
