Just installed my Uniden 520xl radio in my JK. I just screwed it to the center windshield trim (surprisingly sturdy). Routed the power over the pax side and under the carpet, out the rubber plug (cut slit in center), then up the firewall to the battery. Used a 19ft antenna cable over the driver side, down the edge of the floor trim (under the carpet and plastic), then down into the taillight wiring (cut slit in grommet, this was a tight area). Then out the license plate wiring hole and into the place bracket. I fixed the antenna mount to the plastic license plate bracket (see photo). This is probably not the most durable mounting location, but with a spring I think it will last for a while. Not the best CB Antenna location, but it is low and still gets out pretty well.

Toad suggested I post my CB mounting for others to see. This was a copy of the way hansen65 mounted his. I fabricated a bracked and attached to center roof tiedown. I gave enough room so the roof tiedown could be used without removing the CB. Attached are a few pictures
