Alright CB geniuses, get in here please!
I think you might be mistaken. As much as I would like to accept the help from you, I live just outside of Washington DC, in Nokesville, Va, about 1.5 hours north of Richmond. I'm not very close to Tennessee, but trust me, I wish I was.
Oh... woops. Hahah. Yes, that is very close to the name of a small town just a few miles from me.
I would think most CB shops would help you out for free. It is a really easy task if you have the proper equipment. Maybe a local ham radio guy can help you out or point you to someone who owns an analyzer.

I ran my ground from my mounting bracket to the black hinge on the inside of the tailgate first and that wasn't enough, I ended up running a second ground strap from the hinge to the frame and now it's all good! But also check your antenna length.
That's a very broad question and up to somebody's opinion. The radio itself? Wherever you think is most convenient. I put mine in an over head tuffy console (click the link in my signature for pictures) and I really like it there. It's out of the way and doesn't block my rear view mirror. I've seen people mount them in the middle of the dash, near the floor board on the side of the dash, and small ones in the center console.
The antennas best place is on the cowl from what I understand. A license plate mount isn't bad either and the worst place is where I have mine, on the tire carrier, between the spare and the jeep.

I know 2 guys who have the Cobra 19 and it does what they need it to, lets them talk to and receive from other people. I liked the "look" of the 29 and that's the only reason I didn't buy the Cobra 19. It will be fine for trail runs though, just make sure to get a good antenna, that's the key
