Default Another Cobra 75 mounting location

Dont remember seeing one mounted in the sound bar yet. Seems to work out pretty good. I ran the coax up the roll bar cover from the terraflex spare tire mount and the electrics up the B pillar. If you drop the speaker out there is plenty of room to stuff the control box in.

I don't like it, but I do like the creativeness....good idea! Never even thought about mounting it up there...I do like the external speaker though..nice place to put it.

Looks great and very clean, but it seems like the cord might be constantly wacking you in the head. Might get annoying after a while. This may not be the case though. It's hard to tell from that angle.

I was wondering what plugs you have in the speaker bar for the bigger holes (green arrow)?

Those are the screws that hold the two front sections of hard top that come out.

The mic cord actually hangs along side and behind the head rest so the cord never comes close to touching my head.

I installed it there because I already have to much add on stuff up front. The speaker located up by my head does work out great. My wife hates listening to the cb radio so this way I dont have to have the sound cranked up to hear it myself.

Not a bad install there. I am considering this same CB. Could you give me some input about this model. Pro's or con's???

OP, do you off-road at all? Just seems like bounching, crawling and all the other mess would cause that cord to bang around and be annoying.

Have you been off-road with it yet? I think the location looks great.

Yea I've got things moving pretty good with it installed but the cord pretty much is all behind and to the side of the head rest. I have not felt it hit my head once so far. I suspose on a real steep downhill it might come forward a little. Will let you know about that soon. Leaving tomorrow for 3 weeks of wheelin offroad in CO UT and AZ Going to be putting a few miles and I'm sure a few scars on it.

dsy...nice set up and thanks for posting. I use a wide rubber band and attach the transceiver to a windshield(GPS) mount. I'll show pics shortly. Mount is a Ram-Mount product.
