I like mine. The bulk of it is hidden under the dash. I have an external speaker but haven't decided where to install it yet. How much of a CB do you really need? It is great for on the trails and if I have an emergency, everybody has a cell phone.
x2 on the bulky chrome 70's reject in my new Jeep. And I know CB's ... I had one mounted on my bike in the 70's and even made the newspaper because of it!

I'm really not too familiar with the disadvantages but I recently got one and saw A LOT of them in the Jeeps at Rocktoberfest.

The short version is the 75wx can be put in your glove box. Everything else can't.
As far as power and reception. For the casual user little differences will be noticed.

So if you use it for fun get the 75wx

If you use it daily for work get the cobra 148gtl
