Default Arizona Rocky Road Antenna mount. Cant decide on lenghth. HELP!!

Maybe someone can help me to decide what length I need 3' or 4' ? The mount starts about the rear brake light level. The 4' seems alittle to high and 3' seems ok but what about CB reception? Iam going to put it on a COBRA 29WXNWBT radio. Will the longer one work better or will they be same on receiving distance? Iam new to this because I havent had a CB since I was in my teens and Iam 53 yrs old now! LOL. Maybe someone can help me out?
Thanks

I have two 3 foot mounts. One is CB and one is 2M ham radio. My CD radio reception has always been good and I have no complaints.

Anyone ever run a 102" whip on top of a Arizona Rocky Road mount? The stem seems a bit slender, was wondering how much it flexes in the breeze?

Cool Considerations

Like Mauser stated above, I too use two Arizona Rocky Road mounts which are attached to the spare tire mount. The left one is for my CB antenna and the right for my 2m/70cm HAM antenna. Here's the thing to consider when selecting the length of your CB antenna. If your antenna is top loaded, like the FireStik FireFly I use, you'll want the top 12" to 15" of the antenna to be higher than your top, especially if it's a hard top. I have used both the 4' FireFly and the 3'
model and haven't noticed much difference. Have at it.
