Question battery cable

So where is the best place to pull a battery cable through the firewall. Is there an existing hole I can use, or do I need to drill a new one?

I'm thinking about 8 or 10 AWG for my Ft-857D

thanks

There is one on the passenger side. you have to take off the side panel- next to the glove box, if you look from the engine compartment you will see it just under the outside sheet metal of the jeep, very close to the wind shield. Let me get the pictures of it and it will be easy to find. It was really easy to do... nice thing about the Jeep they make it easy to add the radios.... although RFI isn't to much fun that is what I am working on now. I'll post a few pics shortly.

Sweet thanks mike,

was the last picture taken from the engine compartment?

I had a little trouble with RFI on my last vehicle ( volvo S60) but I turned on the noise blocker and it almost completely cured it. You never know though, it's different with every vehicle.

It actually looks like it will be pretty easy to run!

yes.. sounds like your going with a HF rig, it will be interesting to see if you have RFI..
I have some cleaning up to do on my install and then I'll start again. But reading some of the other forums/topics I'm expecting some.
