Make sure to buy 52 ohm coax. Don't use the 70 ohm that's for home wiring. And keep in-line joints and couplings to a mimimum as you run between the radio and the antenna.

Have fun,

I went with a Cobra 75 WX ST 40-channel CB radio and love it.

Simple and small. I ran the wires through the firewall to the battery and the cable to the firestick on my tire carrier under the carpet. Mounted the tiny connection box inside my center storage box thing. Drilled 2 holes on the left side of it, one has antenna coming into the box one has the cord to the mic going out.

The WHOLE CB IS the mic.

I went from a cobra 19 to a 29 night hawk. Love the 29. I had the 19 as "oh this will be all i want, work just fine". It worked okay. But I was always wondering if people could or would be able to hear me. With the tweaked 29, no questions.

I have the cobra 25 NW. A lot like the 29 but smaller.
