Default Best CB's out there

I am getting ready to start going on more trails and group runs. Some say it is mandatory to have a CB radio. I was just wondering which ones are good, and not super expensive?

I have heard good things about them. Is there a perticular model to look for?

That looks great. Is there a larger main unit to it that has to be mounted somewhere?

Many other forum members and I have that cb and it works great. The thing to keep in mind is what your needs are. If it is just for the trail and chats with peeps in less than a mile or two range this cb is perfect. It's nice to have the weather bands on it as well for quick updates. The install is easy since the portion you connect to is very small and easy to hide. The all in your hand feature is excellent no big bulky box to mount anywhere. Do a search on cb installs and you'll see many options that are out there. Good luck

I run with the cobra 29 peaked at 37watts with a adjustable linear 50/150/300 watts are the settings. I only use the linear in the big cites sometimes. It helps to get my 1min point/question across the masses me
