Default Best place to get a Firestik II

Hey guys.

Where is the best place to get a black Firestik II? Everywhere I look wants like half the cost of the antenna for shipping. I know Dave at northridge will do free shipping but that requires me to purchase $100 or more.

Also....If I have a spring for the antenna base I will also need a stud mount to put the spring on right? I don't see where I would hook up the coax cable to the spring so .....yea.....right?

you going to need more than just a spring to mount the antenna.

i would go with either the cool tech kit which will come with everything you need, including the firestik, or get the tera flex mount and the correct coax to hook it all up. i have the cooltech, wicked easy to install.

Any truck stop on the freeway will sell CB antennas. The Firesticks are popular enough that you should be able to find one pretty easily.

I like the Arizona Rocky Road mount.
It raises the antenna higher up in the back of the Jeep so you get more over the roof. Your antenna will sway a bit more in the wind though.
They sell via an e-bay store if you want to check it out.

I got my firestick II (black) from dave and NorthRidge 4x4... but i also bought the cb from him so shipping was free(over $100). As for the other parts I was able to pick the RG-58 coax, stud mount, and an antenna spring from radio shack for cheaper than a kit on the internet +shipping would have cost me.

Make sure you instal the spring before you try and bend your Firestick II more than 20 or so degrees. The antennas are flexible however depending on the quality stud mount you have there is a chance that you will strip the threads due to excess stress. Just my .02 based from experience.
