So here it is installed. I went to the local truck stop and naturally they didn't have the Wilson I was looking at and I knew they didn't carry firesticks.... So I did the next bet thing started talking I truckers and the pointed out a Francis hot rod. It was $18 bucks so I figured worth a try... Worst case I end up ordering what I want. Then wouldn't ya know it 3 truck stops later still now SWR meter!! Pissed me off dragging twin 4 year olds around anymore so I came home and installed it. Now I can't use it till I find a meter! But it's in and went smoothly once I got the black plastic off the inside of the tailgate.

Make sure you test your rear wiper. My bracket needed to be trimmed as the wiper blade caught on it.

No such thing this time around soft top only.... I have it turned on but nothing so far. Gonna swing out by the highway see if I can hear anything. Don't wanna transmit and fry my radio. Thought I would have picked something up at least. Hope this works.

Yeah without a swr meter I'm dead in the water. Went to the highway and still nothing... Even tried a quick radio check. And nothing.... Next thing is try and run a ground and see if anything picks up? I'll take any suggestions...

I'd probably wait until you've got the SWR meter. Tough to know what's happening without that.
