Default Broke my Firestick

Okay, I have (had) a 4' firestick and I ahve a bad habit of leaving it on when I drive into the garage/ Last night, I broke it, and now it is a 3' Frestick. Can i just cut it down even and run it, or is it ruined?

Don't transmit with a damaged antenna, or you might burn out the radio. And be sure to tune your new antenna with an SWR meter.

Sounds like it. I already have the spring mount, it just got caught between the door and the upper wall and couldn't sprint back. Crap, it sounds like a new firestik is in order here.
