A bull whip isn't an antenna, not even a military antenna. It is typically a braided leather object used to herd cattle (I have an intimate knowledge of them having braided several). A whip antenna on the other hand is clearly an antenna and commonly seen on military vehicles. By definition it is typically a long and rigid yet flexible object. Personally I think they look very nice on some vehicles but many offroad enthusiasts have decided they don't like them because of their tendency to reach out and touch things (often breaking things) when least expected. I hope this clarifies things a little. I was trying to be funny the way I stated it before, I apologize for any misunderstanding.
