CB antenna spring

They can certainly help out when the antenna slaps off of something on the trail (or when you forget to take it off before going into a garage!)
I would recommend a heavy duty spring with the 4ft; I have the 4ft firestick on a medium spring and it likes to sway back and forth quite a bit.

I got a 5' firestik 2 with a 3" hd spring. It flops all over but I'd hate to see what all the tree branches and 75mph hiway speeds would do to just the fiberglass of the antenna alone

I have the FS Side mount kit with a HD spring>Quick Disconnect>4' Wilson antenna in that order.
So far so good. No problems at 80+ on the highway or crawling on the trail.
Reception is outstanding and the SWR is well within range.
