I have a Uniden pro538w and a 5ft fire-stick. When I'm using channels below 8 I got a random noise. It sounds like an incoming missile and I can't tune it out. I have tried a new cable and use of a SWR meter and still have the problem. I tied in to the power on the constant powered outlet.

My antenna is on the tail gate, and the door is grounded with a 12ga. wire.

Any help would be nice.

Try pulling power direct from the battery. It makes a huge difference on the extra noise.
