So i have a completely stock 09 sahara. I like going on little trails and i like to camp but dont get to often. My friends also have jeeps and like to do the same. I am looking at getting the cobra 29 lx bt. I like it because it has the bluetooth and my car didnt come with uconnect and ive read good reviews about it. I travel a decent amount between philly and Binghamton, NY and there is a lot of nothing for miles. When i drive i often sit in silence. Id much rather listen to truckers rambling on about nothing. My mom offered to buy me the CB for my birthday which was yesterday and im still on the fence about it My friends dont have CBs but i hope to convince them if i do. Does anyone have any input or reviews of this CB.

Edit: HAM is out of the question. If my friends were to get radios they would not dish out the money HAM

For me a CB is pretty important on the trail. I wheel with people that do things that my jeep can't. It's nice to hear things like "there's a bypass to this next obstacle on the left", or "do you remember which way we came?". I used to keep it on while driving but rarely hear anyone. Maybe it's different where you live.

Do it.

You can Google reviews for it.

It will be handy on the trails, and may even be handy on the road to relieve the boredom. I will say that the Cobra 75WX is a bit lower profile, but I like full sized units myself.
