I really dig the project jk cb one (if you google it) and I like that blue jk's washer idea (the pieces of rubber between the plastic and the unit. Anyone else have any ideas? Where could I put a PA speaker also? The cleanest spot possible. I dug that same blue jks PA spot but i'm a little skeptical of ripping off the heatpad and stuff...and the wiring is hanging out everywhere.

It is just a basic Ram Mount. You can pick one up off of the Ram Mount web site or most sporting goods stores like Bass Pro or Gander Mountain carry them as well.

I opted to simply use velcro on top of the mount so it is super easy to pick up and return it back to the mount.

I went down to fastenal and bought some "mini strut" used to hang A/C units and some flat steel repair plates cut the "mini strut" to fit inside the roll bars and used the repair plates to connect each end to the hand screws that hold the passenger and driver front door jamb. in all it cost me less than 30$

Pretty much a home made version of

I am working on some pictures and measurements

on one end i was able to use the factory bolt/knob. on the passenger side for some reason it was not as long as the driver side. I ended up picking up a bolt and fender washer from the hardware store.

Hope this helps those on a budget!
