So, my buddy gave me his old cb the other day and I currently have it velcroed under the steering wheel as a temporary "mount." Where are some generally good places to permanently mount the CB? It's a midland 1001, it's about 5 inches by 2 tall and 8 deep with the coax attached. I was considering mounting it on top of the dash, but I'll be making my own bracket for it, so I can put it anywhere is best. Where do you have yours mounted, and how do you like it?

LOL, your welcome from both of us. I had my CB mounted on top of the dash but quickly moved it overhead and am much happier with it being out of the way. Good luck!

 

I have mine mounted above my rearview. Just used some steel strapping around the hardtop loop.

Since this photo I added knob-like screws in replace of the gold ones that came with my cb so I can easily remove it and store it in the glove box while I'm parked so I don't have to worry about theft or rain
