i have a cobra 75 with a firestick, used it one weekend and it worked fine, turned it on the other day on the highway and no noise at all played with the volume and squelch(sp) and still nothing and dont even get any noise outta the weather channel, any ideas? i dontknow anyone else around with a cb to see if its working but i dont think it is

 

When you open the squelch do you at least here static ??

From where you are the closest CB shop I know of would be Bob's CB, he is very good and highly regarded..

whatever happened on this thing? Mine is doing the exact same thing right now.

 

Mine just start this as well. I was out on a trail at the time. I was able to confirm that I was transmitting, but my speaker crapped out.

I went out and bought an external cb speaker and plan to wire it up. I spent 9 bucks on a Uniden speaker at a truck stop near me.

I figure the extra speaker is worth it and will probably need it to hear the CB anyway.
