It's bought and installed the Uniden Bearcat 980SSB with the Firestik II antenna. I'm not super familiar with CB's but I went through the directions for tuning and I feel as if I'm not getting the full range that I could be getting.

Any help at all even a dummied down step by step tuning process would be appreciated.

 

I have an swr meter. They are not expensive. Unfortunately they are usually a one time use. Did you go with the wireless microphone?

It's not too big of a deal. I found a local truck shop that had a CB guy there. Went down and saw him and he tuned the antenna to the CB for me. It took him like 4 minutes and maybe $30? It was a long time ago that I had it done to my TJ.
Need to buy another for the JK and do it again
