Default CB Radio wiring

I recently purchased a used CB radio from Ebay (with 4 kids need to save as much....) and it has 3 wires coming out the back - red, black, and white. I know that red is power and black is the ground, but what would the white be for? I t has the ability for a PA - so not sure if the whot eis for the PA? I have wired lights and other auxillery stuff so I feel sort of stupid not knowing this one......

which radio did you buy?
i believe the red wire is constant hot, white is switched hot,and yes the black is ground.
how and where in your jeep do you plan on mounting your new radio, where are you going to mount your antenna?do you have an external swr meter?the meter in most radios are not worth their weight.

Sorry. I guess the brand would be helpful. It is an older realistic. I plan on mounting on the side of the center console - next to the stick shift.
That wash thought that the red and white were power ( one constant and on switched). Oh and the antenna is mounted on the rear tire carrier - 4 f firestik.
