Channel 9??
I was heading into Anchorage and saw that opposing traffic was backed up for a long way and not a cop to be seen. I thought it was an accident but didn't know for sure. So I used channel 9 anyway, and the guy asked me where it was and said thank you and that he would relay the message. Then he gave his call sign was was gone. It was so many years ago that is all I remember.
I always wonder how many people call in stuff like that. I guess you follow the "better safe than sorry" rule and hope nothing's seriously wrong.
Yeah......it doesn't hurt for sure. Kinda like calling the power company when the power goes out.....somebody has probably already called it in, but you just never know. Everybody could be just sitting there in the dark thinking the "other guy" called it in.
