Thanks. I love it when I've got to modify a modification. I suppose it's an obsession.

I just got one, I haven't installed it yet. The shop I ordered it from tuned it up real good so I assume I won't have the DOA some guys here have reported. I'm just waiting on my antennae mount to arrive before starting the install.

Ok well here it is a bit over due but better late than never. It took me a bit longer to mount the bracket because I deviated a little from the instructions and had to do some re-wiring of the fuse line from the CB radio. On a side note I left the top of during a brief but strong down pour and when I went to towel of the CB radio I was greeted by a lot and I mean a lot of water that I got my entire shirt wet but the CB is still working great.

I got it tuned up at the local CB Shop but im having problems tuning the antenna, now that I moved the antenna bracket. I just don't understand why I can't get the SWR meter back in range considering that its making better ground contact

The install looks good, I think I might pull mine and flat black the cb bracket as well. As for your tuning issues, mine wound up working best with the shortest antenna length possible so I removed the tuning screw. Might give that a shot as your starting point. If you need to go longer I've heard quick disconnects and/or springs helping in that regard. Good luck with the tuning.

Yeah when i was putting it together i didn't like the chrome look of the bracket so i had to stop what i was doing and head over t O'Reilies and get a can of Dupli Liner and spray the bracket. I pushed my ARR bracket as far forward as i could and had to cut a bit of the plastic molding around the visors. I'm thinking of flipping the bracket upside down to give me an extra half inch of clearance because the CB radio is kind of in the way of my rear view mirror.

Looking back at my pics i have to say they are not bad looking for being shot with my cell phone. I am though going to need a new antenna i have a 4ft firestick and its hitting everything every where i go, so i might just go to the CB Shop and buy me a new 3ft antenna
