if your getting 1:1 on ch 1 and 1:1.5 on ch40 that is very good...

SWR's can not go lower then a 1:1... and usually you don't get that good... anything below a 1:1.5 is excellent.

your cable length is fine.

not sure of this one.
Does your antenna have a GOOD bond to the frame of your Jeep. this might be picking up noise if you don't.

Is you CB power leads run directly to the Battery?

I have the + to my acc/lighter and my -to the chassis. It seems to get louder when my car is on acc mode and less loud when engine is running. The clicking goes away when I remove the antenna so I am assuming that maybe I need an antenna filter? I will also eventually run the + to battery but I will run a relay so it shuts off with my car.

I have both my radio's running to the battery.
I have read that some guys run it to aux power and have no problems and some have problems.
So I would run it to the battery and see if that helps before you did the antenna filter.
What do you refer to as an antenna filter?

maybe others with more experience on your noise problem will jump in.

added..
I do believe you could pick up alot of electicial noise by running it AUX power.. and not straight to the battery.. one reason I go to the battery...

For some reason I think you are right about the aux giving me the problems because the canbus crap. The antenna filter is a box you run before the unit and you can tune it to work high or low. Supposedly it also affects the range.
