Check out the write up. It's for a TJ, but CB's should be pretty much the same with any vehicle.

There's a "what you'll need" list

Ya I was more confused cause some said they put a fuse inline form the batt. Not really seeing that in any other installs....
Thanks man!

Preferably 1.5 to 2 on the reading is good. If its not then you are not optimizing your potential for your CB.

I only know this because I am having troubles with mine.
Thanks....I just happen to have a Bird SWR meter at work I am a communications tech in the army, but we deal with stuff a lot bigger than this I am sure I can figure this little thing out lol...

For some reason I am having problems with my setup. I know I will figure it out.

You may want to pick one up at Radio Shack and keep it in your rig. Some people suggest cheking it once in a while. Plus you will be able to help out your buddies. Your CB is only going to be as good as theirs. The problem though is if its not getting a good reading then you have to trouble shoot it.

Firestick's website is full of awesome info.

FYI , I was an Electronics Warfare Tech in the Navy back in the mid 80's.
I was talking about the CB being a "little" thing, not the Bird Meter.
I was thinking about getting a little SWR meter...but we dont have Radio Shack anymore here in Canada, we have The Source by Circuit City...lol...they might have something...
thanks for your info...
