Cobra 75 - stopped working all of the sudden...
Motorola is a good company.
looks like I am having the same exact problem. I have not tried hooking it up to another speaker but I could take your first post and copy it word for word. Looks like I will be giving them a call as well.
Personally, I found that I needed to use an external speaker to hear anything from my Cobra 75 anyways. The handset speaker worked...it was just too quiet and tinny.
That doesn't change the fact that you'll want to get the handset replaced at the manufacturer's expense. I take some comfort from knowing that if my external speaker drops out on me, I can use the handset instead.

i had the same problem and willy told me the same thing.
i just got my handset back. it had "no repair needed" written on the paper.
willy told me to only send the handset in. thanks for nothing cobra. i guess i need to call them again on Jan 4.
I had the same thing happen to my 75. Rather then send it in for repair I just upgraded to the 29 LTD as I was not that happy with the 75's performance when it did work. Wish I would have just purchased the 29 in the first place, a much better product.
