Cobra 75 - stopped working all of the sudden...

looks like I am having the same exact problem. I have not tried hooking it up to another speaker but I could take your first post and copy it word for word. Looks like I will be giving them a call as well.

Personally, I found that I needed to use an external speaker to hear anything from my Cobra 75 anyways. The handset speaker worked...it was just too quiet and tinny.

That doesn't change the fact that you'll want to get the handset replaced at the manufacturer's expense. I take some comfort from knowing that if my external speaker drops out on me, I can use the handset instead.

I agree. It's just weird how I have it on, and its working, and like 10 min later I try to turn it on and nothing

cobra 75's have a reputation for the speakers crapping out. Mine did.
Use an external speaker, way better anyway.

i had the same problem and willy told me the same thing.
i just got my handset back. it had "no repair needed" written on the paper.
willy told me to only send the handset in. thanks for nothing cobra. i guess i need to call them again on Jan 4.

I had the same thing happen to my 75. Rather then send it in for repair I just upgraded to the 29 LTD as I was not that happy with the 75's performance when it did work. Wish I would have just purchased the 29 in the first place, a much better product.
