Does anyone know if the Teraflex antenna mount (http://www.quadratec.com/products/16...googlemerchant) will work with oversized tires on the oem spare tire carrier?

I am rockin Goodyear 35x12.5 r15's mounted on Pro Comp 1069's (3.75" backspacing) and am afraid that the tire might get in the way of the antenna mount.

I have the same size tire with the LOD tire carrier and it works great. My buddy has the same mount with his spare tire still mounted to the door and has no issues. I think you should be fine.

 

so get this... This morning i start my 10 hour drive back to San Diego and decide, what the hell, give it a shot. so i turn on the CB and everything works great. It worked perfect the whole trip. weird! Thank you all for the good advice anyway. Now to see how long it works for. keep your fingers crossed.

 

Sounds like you have a loose connection somewhere or a break in the coax.

 

I finally received the Cobra 75 for Xmas this year; my wife purchased the Gatemount Kit, which is found on the Cool Tech website. I finally got around to putting it all in today, but came across an issue that I need help with. I am unable to find the PL-259 adapter that (I believe) is necessary to connect the cb to the antenna cable. I either did not see it in the box or it wasn't included (the smart money is on the first option).
Does anyone know if this PL-259 adapter will fix the issue that I have described? I will attach a pic to hopefully help clarify the problem.
