Default dual fiberglass antenna question

Hello. This is kind of a dumb question, but its hard to find a cb shop around here. So I just went to radio shack to pick up antenna for my cobra 29. All they had was a dual 4' fiberglass antenna setup. I thought that 2 4' antennas would look silly, Would I be ok with just running one of these antennas? Would it kill the reception or hurt the CB? I am more concerned about using my cb on the trail more than anything else, I don't have to have a "HUGE" range, but enough to talk across an ORV Park. Thanks!

Did it come with the coax and T for dual setup? Seems like the dual antennae setups used a 75 ohm coax as opposed to 50 ohm coax for single setup. I maybe off on my numbers....it's been a while.

There should be no reason why you cant run a single antennae, just may want to find out for sure on the coax.

yes, it came with a coax T for dual set up, not sure of the ohms, but is says, Dual-phasing coax (not sure what that means), Could I use the cable (has the T built in) or should I purchase a new one? Thanks!
