Experience/Pictures of Breedlove Antenna Mounts?
Yeah, every mobile install is a balance of various compromises. I chose the AH-4/non-resonant whip option because the only other real multi-band HF option--a screwdriver antenna, would probably be ripped off the Jeep by the first branch that came by!
I'll also be brute-force chocking the coax off with quite a few large clip-on mix 31 ferrites.

I run a whip/tuner combo because I travel a lot of washboard/high speed/desert terrain. A screwdriver can't take the abuse as well.
Ouch! Lost that one!
I wish I could mount my 706 body in a similar location, but I rarely have the top on in the summer and it would just be too exposed. Not exactly sure where I'll put it yet.

Dont put it under the driver seat there is more heat there from exhaust and stuff gets hot after long drives.
You really want to get that fixed by proper choking, computers can be a wee bit expensive, plus its no fun when faults get held or cause driveability problems when you need power.
Yes, mobile HF is all about compromises. Fortunately when propagation is good, most anything will work.
