4' lays behind the rear seat nicely when not in use.

i'm no engineer. but last i knew my FSII was top loaded also just a little heavier and better power raitings

i'm now running a K40 top loaded 2' with tunable tip. i did have 2x 5' FSII's

Anyone ever try the Francis fiberglass antenna? They advertise coming from the factory pre tuned to 2.0

I run a 4' firestick II and it will just fit in the back under the cargo door so that I don't whack it on my garage or carport. When I forget and leave it on I get a nice loud reminder.

Your SWR sounds fine, its near what I am getting with the same attenna.

Even at 1.4 you are only losing 2.8% power

i also have the tunable version, it worked great for me until my father decided to drive through a parking garage with it on, it was five feet and mounted halfway up the tailgate in the back, so it is now out of commision, i will be getting the firefly soon tho

My next question is where is a good place to mount my radio? I just got it in today and want to install it as soon as I can. Its a Cobra 19DX IV. What are some of your setups?
