FMRS and GMRS
I see a lot of discussion about CB radios, but for the last several years, we have been using FMRS/GMRS radios, and they seem to be so much better. Why in the world woudl you still use a CB?

old habit
we use fmrs around here, it ok when every one is close but a soon as you scatter around your toast, on a plus side it nice to have when you need to be outside of your rig and yet keep contact

If Im not mistaken, the frs radios dont require a license.
On the down side, they are limited in range to no more than a mile or so.
A friend of mine and I got a couplke of FRS and tried them out vehicle to vehicle. Best we got was about a mile and a half apart.
The GMRS radios do require a license but there are a lot out there that are being used without a license.
