I don't have a license, but my fiance is: KJ6NNJ

We're working on getting me licensed as well.

BTW he's mentioned a few times that he'd love to "ragchew" (?) with other Jeepers but doesn't know of any scheduled meetings.

Just passed my Tech exam a few weeks ago. Member of the Wilderness Search & Rescue Team here in CNY. Just borrowing a handheld ICom for now with my SAR channels and a few local 2m repeaters. Haven't even made my first transmission yet.

Congrads on passing.
If you havent done so already, check the FCC site. You can find out what your call is there instead of waiting for the letter from them.

Thanks!

No key, my CW level is a bit poor (being lazy!) So most CW is done from home, and only with DX's and New One's.

So for now only SSB/FM in JK. And thinking of some proper Logbook, but installing laptop, would be too much

The ony A6/M with CW is car i know is Abdulla A61Q

NQ3X here. Picking up my pretty base-model Dozer JK tomorrow (touch wood).

Will definitely be installing VHF/UHF; don't know about HF. I have an IC-7000. But this fall we're moving to St Croix (can you say KP2QX? ), and I'm positive I don't want a visible install on an island where stuff gets pinched from vehicles a lot. It'll probably be a small 2m rig in the center console. That'll also keep my 7000 on the desk, where I like it. We'll see.

My short ham resume can be seen by searching my callsign on QRZ.COM - it'll save time.

Cheers,

Bob
