Greetings all,

I have a black '07 2-door.

Really want pics of who has mounted what & where. I'll send mine ASAP.

Also, I'm really interested in anyone's ideas about;
1 each Heil mic (mine is mounted to the roll-cage),
1 each ptt button (mine is at the thumb position of my Hurst t-handle shifter),
for switching between my Yaesu FT-857D, some kind of CB radio, and maybe a future Yaesu FTM-350AR (for separating APRS/2m/440).
I think I would like to have that switch operate the active radio with the single speaker; if not,
I'll get a speaker for each radio.

Any ideas or threads for me to view?

Thanks,
KF6TUV

PS - Ultimately I would like to operate all radios for whichever band I choose (including normal AM/FM/TV broadcast), my iPhone, with bluetooth voice commands through my iPhone and/or iPad.
1 system to operate everything in my Jeep (maybe even my engine tuning!). Including my rearward camera and my forward facing FLIR.
Anybody up to the million dollar challenge?

Hey all. I just traded in my '04 TJ for an '11 JKU Rubi! I never thought I'd sell my TJ, but damn is this JK awesome. Now to figure out where to mount antennas and radios!

Awesome ideas! I look forward to seeing how you approach them.

Both of you should carefully browse and search through installation threads in this section, as well as sites like KØBG.COM - an essential resource for the mobile amateur/CB op.

New to forum, I've been wheeling 06 LJ Rubi for years and just bought a 13 JK Unlimited Rubi.

Extra class License but have been a ham for less than 6 months.

W4TFB - Whiskey 4 The Filthy Beast

I have Yaesu 7900 that I need to install in JK.

Been on the airwaves since 1977, got hooked while in the service on military radios then moved to CB's and finally on to HAM.

KE7KVP here. I don't think I have a lot of posts on jk-forum but have good Jeep experience. Got into HAM to have the range for safety in remote UT. Have two Yaesu 2 meter radios. I've had my JK for two weeks now and still haven't mounted the 1802/antenna in it yet (to cold and focused mainly on gathering lift/tires/lockers/gears for the JK).

New guy here, I just ordered my JK on the 21st of Feb. I'll be mounting my 2 meter mobile radio as soon as it comes in. I have a Yaesu FT 897 for the house and an inexpensive 2 meter for my vehicle. I have a General license. See ya down the road.......TD..... N1ATF
