I have it wired to a aux. fuse box and just recently installed a new nav radio, wonder if the ground going to the radio somehow was damaged during the radio install and I need to redo the ground connection?? Kinda scary, thought the electrical was going to cut out on me. I had to just listen and not transmit for the rest of the weekend, seemed to come and go, tried to transmit the next day and it worked, then later on the trail it did the same thing.

I have a firestick grounded to the rear bumper and the radio is grounded to the dash frame behind the glove box. Could having two grounding points cause some sort of ground loop issue? I got nothin...
I would try getting your power straight from the battery......
