Hey jason07, check out appalachian jeep trail riders, up state jeep club. I plan on the rock jumping event at gulches on 4/21 and the ajtr group is going to ure on 4/28 and 4/29. If your around then some one is sure to help out. Keep in mind most junk you hear on the cb is just noise people pushing crazy illegal watts. More than likely if you have off the shelf cb with a fire stick longest your gonna holler is 1 mile line of site.

Just keep yelling for a radio check on ch19. eventually someone will get tired of hearing you and will answer.

You are probably hearing people on ch6, you will never talk to anyone on there. If you are lucky your stock rig is putting out 5 watts, those guys can have 20-50k watts.

If you have a truck stop nearby, find a trucker fueling up and ask them to help you out.
