my own personal attempt failed to fix the problem. my guess for me is it did not have a sufficiant ground the second time around.

what is really curious about mine is that before i move i had a whip antenna on the same location as the firestick in the back and never had any problems with it. i am not going to worry about it to much at this time as i will be leaving again in a week and will not be using it for several months.
