Hi,

I have a fender mount bracket and when I have my hood down and transmit I get wicked RFI and screws up my screen
on my Joying stereo. If I put my hood up, no issues at all. After some investigating I noticed my JK doesn't have the
hood grounded. Is there a grounding bolt on the hood?

Year is 2017

 

This is my 2008. Your 2017 may be similar. The hood connection is almost out of view at the top.

 

I checked my 13 JKU. NO Ground Strap to the hood.. Grounding if needed thru the hinges.. You could run a ground like ronjenx and see if that solves your issue.

 

My 2008 is the same as Ronjenx's. I believe the factory dropped the straps after Pentastars arrived.

 

Did you make sure the bracket is grounded ?

When I installed mine, I ground the paint away under where the bracket was gonna sit.

Easy enough to check your set up with a meter ….
