How many of you have a CB?
I can't imagine being out on the trail without one. We don't allow jeeps on our runs if they don't have a CB. Actually, if the person is brand new and it's their first run, a few of us carry GMRS radios so we have some way to communicate, but you're only allowed one pass. We tend to get spread out pretty far when we're in the desert because of the dust, it would be crazy not to have some way to communicate.
And we do use them when we're convoying to and from the trailhead, makes that long drive a lot more fun. And even solo, when we're looking to make time on a highway through nowhere, it helps to grab a report from the truckers.

I had one in each of my first 2 jeeps and will eventually install a CB in this one, but its not a priority... oh and I rarely used it. Most of the guys I wheeled with had the little 2 way hand held radios.
I have one and use it all the time like other posters have mentioned, for weather updates (nice in FL where it rains randomly), talking to club members on trails, and shouting at friends through the PA :P
I've got one...though not often it does get used....long road trips, helps to keep me awake at night, and trail runs. I've found even on solo trips off road, I can stay in touch with other solo wheelers. I also have a Southern VP PA/elctronic air horn and I've used both of those on the trail on narrow stretches of the trail to signal to people to come ahead.
I've had CBs in all my 4wds, all the way back to 1971 and they've all been cheap "fun"My new JK, didn't have a lot of room for a GOOD CB LOCATION, so
Not really, thats for the "sports cage"
