I have the MIdland 75-822 hand held and drilled a hole in my off-road rear bumper, right at the hinges, to add the Firestick antenna; wired it up under the taillight and followed the taillight wires to the front (tie wired about every 8-10 inches) under the glove box and left a pig-tail out near the power outlet and it works GREAT!

i think it was 80$ for the tail gate kit, and it came with everything to hook up the cb

 

That's what I payed for mine with the magnetic antenna mount. I'll stick it on my tailgate and make it look like a bee stinger...
